How to Write a Persuasive Paper
How to Write a Persuasive PaperWriting a convincing argument is easy if you know how to write a persuasive paper. As the title implies, persuasive writing is essentially about persuading your reader, as the name suggests. A good persuasive essay is a long-term project and should not be rushed. Here are some tips on how to write a persuasive paper.Your first consideration should be your background. Although a persuasive essay is not exactly an essay, it should be infused with logic and facts. Your arguments should be grounded in reality, for example, a list of statistics about unemployment. However, your argument should not be as simple as that. If you argue from statistics alone, it is only a matter of time before your readers lose their trust. You need to make sure that you present both sides of the argument. Do not simply pick a side, as there may be many equally valid ones. If you do, the argument will have very little substance. You should provide both perspectives and provide an explanation why these arguments are the best ones.Presenting facts is not enough; you also need to present your ideas in a short essay. To prove that something should be done, include a summary of the argument in the body of the paper. It should not be longer than five pages. Avoid writing like a student as this will only alienate you and turn off your readers. To conclude, a persuasive paper should be easily understood. Your audience should be able to follow what you are trying to communicate. It is also important that they can easily visualize your argument and have a clear idea of how it will work.Make sure you edit your paper thoroughly before submitting it. All errors should be fixed. This will ensure that your arguments are well-presented and that your paper will turn out to be very convincing.A persuasive essay has a very strong and persuasive beginning and a strong and persuasive conclusion. In the middle, you should use supporting arguments. You should keep repeating your ar gument until you have the attention of your audience. While writing a persuasive essay is very easy, some people still fail at it. Their essay may be well-written but the conclusion is sub-par. Learn how to write a persuasive paper, and your essay will become more compelling and powerful.

How Good Design Can Boost SAT Scores
Ever since I began reading The Design of Everyday Things (a great read for high school or college students), Iââ¬â¢ve become increasingly interested in design. Since then, Iââ¬â¢ve seen processes and objects in a new way. As an SAT tutor, I immediately applied these principles to the SAT in an attempt to increase the speed at which my students complete the math section. Let efficiency be your umbrella. With good design, everyday objects become a joy to use, and a well-designed instrument prompts users to apply it the right wayââ¬âin short, good design eases our lives. The SAT, however, is not intended to ease a studentââ¬â¢s life. A ââ¬Å"goodâ⬠test would act like a well-drawn diagram and prompt test-takers towards the right answer. Instead, confusing diagrams and extraneous information hide important information and turn simple problems into hard ones. One of the greatest challenges for many of my students is the immense time pressure. Exploiting this vulnerability, the writers of the SAT plan questions that can either be solved quickly (by seeing patterns) or slowly (by brute force or plugging in all the answer choices). In thinking about how to solve the problem of time pressures, I turned to Frank Gilbreth, generally acknowledged to be one of the first people who to increased efficiency by minimizing wasted effort. Frank's insights are all around us. Turn on any show about medicine and youââ¬â¢ll inevitably see an operating doctor stretch out his hand so that a nurse can hand over the necessary tool. Before Frank Gilbreth, doctors just searched for tools themselves, taking valuable time away from the operation while the patient continued to bleed in front of them. Be like this guy! As a student taking the SAT, the same principles apply. Staring at confusing diagrams takes time. If youââ¬â¢re one of many students who struggle with time management, you should see the same opportunity that Frank Gilbreth saw in his scrabbling doctors by looking for common themes like triangles with special properties (45, 45, 90, or 30, 60, 90) patterns, or congruent angles. While practicing for the SAT, teach yourself, or talk to a tutor about how to recognize ways to simplify difficult math problems. Then, enjoy finessing once-difficult problems, and spending that time where you truly need it.
